In a bid to improve Revenue Generation, the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of Hon.Abdullahi Sesan Olowa organised a-day training for enumeration officials  who have been engaged for a 2 months Enumeration exercise coming up within the Council Area in due course.

In his opening address, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Olowa who was ably represented by the Council’s Head of Finance Mr Onabanjo Sunday  reiterated the  fact that it is the Constitutional Right of Local Governments to generate revenues. He however emphasized on the need for the Council to have a robust database to be able to  harness all the revenue opportunities in the local government .

The Council Mayor also appealed to the enumerators to see the exercise as a challenge to all in order to make Ibeju-Lekki  Local Government achieve her dream of  becoming the New Lagos.

Hon.Olowa enjoined the Consultant/Facilitators, Mr Ademola Adekunle and others to ensure their teachings and choice of words are adequately understood by participants for practical use in the field of enumeration.

Also at the occasion were the HoD Budget , Planning and Statistics, Mr.

Adesanya Kazeem, Public Affairs Officer, Hamzat Maryam(Mrs) the Chief Technical Adviser to the Council Chairman, Mr Rabiu Abiodun,Area Officers, other members of the Revenue Committee amongst others.
