Pledges continued support Traffic Monitoring and Management to improve
Earlier today, the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa met with the General Manager of Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) Mr. Bakare Oki and other top management staff in a bid to establish a strategic partnership between the Council Area and the Transport Agency.
Speaking at the all- important meeting, the Council Chairman appreciated the LASTMA for their efforts in trying to get rid of the traffic gridlock, which occurs frequently owing to the ongoing construction.
The Council boss however, assured LASTMA of his administration’s continued support in the area of patrol and tow vehicles.
Speaking further on the issue of establishing a LASTMA operational command in Ibeju Lekki for present and future needs, Hon. Olowa promised to provide an operational yard for erring drivers to the authorities.
In his closing remarks, the Council boss pleaded with the LASTMA authorities to look into employment opportunities for sons and daughters of Ibeju Lekki Local Government as this will boost the indigenes with a sense of belonging to the current administration of Lagos State.
Hon. Olowa was presented with an award by the General Manager, Mr. Bakare Oki, as the LASTMA authorities, are of the firm belief that this signals a good beginning between the Council Area and the Transport Agency.
