In a bid to stem the tide of the incessant gridlock, which occurs frequently on the Ibeju Lekki corridor, the Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon Abdullahi Sesan Olowa today held a meeting with Craneburg Construction Company and heads of security agencies comprising the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), LASTMA, LNSC, the DSS and the Ibeju-Lekki Community Corps (Folumo).

The meeting, which is a strategic one, aims to checkmate the excesses of reckless driving while also calling the attention of bus drivers to respect law and order.

It is on good authority that there will be sanctions for erring commuters who tend to cause incessant gridlock, which frustrates the movement of law-abiding citizens.

It will be recalled that the Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa led administration has been at the forefront of ensuring smooth traffic flow, which extends to parts of the neighbouring Council area as various platforms have been created to ease the menace
